Yes, there's an acronym for Union in there somewhere. But you won't find it at the beginning of these words, or at the end, either.
A lot of design projects these days go either way. A design is decided at the beginning of a project, or is driven by the head of a business, without a clear cut understanding of their target audience or the key core values of what they sell or produce. Everything else that comes after the design is window dressing to justify the original concept.
Just as often, design is the last element to be considered. Copious amounts of market research, competitive analysis and focus groups leads to a solid research foundation, but the design executions are lackluster. Nevertheless, it sells because the data that can be brought to support the execution is overwhelming.
Design shouldn't be either a prelude or an afterthought to a communications and strategic plan. It needs to be a part of the process throughout. It's the center of any execution. And that's why you'll find UNION in the middle of it.
Construct. Imagine. Navigate.
Encompass. Unite. Yes, there's an acronym in there somewhere.
Who stands behind our work? More importantly, who's sitting in front of a computer getting it done?
