Equality is Gainesville's Business was a local political action committee developed to rally support for voting against Amendment 1 in the 2009 general election, which would have removed LGBT protections from the Gainesville City Charter. The website provided news, toolkits, and ways to volunteer and donate to the initiative. The Amendment failed to pass, 58%to 42%.
